What do we do with your Personal Information you ask?

Taxes and What taxes are charged?
We are required to charge GST everything sold within
Canada.
However, as we are based in
Ontario , we only charge PST for products shipped within Ontario .  For International orders please follow the link in our Wholesale form for guidelines.

What if I am a Wholesale Purchaser and am PST Exempt?
If you are purchasing products for re-sale and you are a registered Vendor with the Ontario Government, you are PST exempt.  We will fax you a blank copy of our Tax Exemption Certificate (Fax 519-662-1399) -  or we can email a blank  certificate to you as an attachment for you to complete.


Privacy

What do you do with the private information I give you at Soul~Mates?

We believe that your personal information deserves ultimate protection. Soul~Mates uses your personal information for the following:

  1. to create your Soul~Mates account
  2. to help the ordering process to ensure accurate and timely delivery of your orders
  3. to ensure your payment is promptly and accurately processed
  4. your banking information in the shopping cart is used by our Payment Provider, PAY PAL. Soul~Mates does not see any of that, unless you would like us to process your payment as a phone order or unless you are sending a personal, business or money order. Then your information is strictly confidential and stays with us.
Your account and personal information is safe with us. Soul~Mates respects your privacy. Keeping your personal and financial information private is particularly important to us. We DO NOT provide your information to other Internet Mailing Lists or any other third party.

If you purchase products from Soul~Mates, the information you give, such as your credit card number, purchase information and contact information, is provided to the banking institutions to complete your transaction when shopping through our secure shopping cart.   Should you wish to phone in your order, we can complete a phone authorization for credit card orders.  We will send you a copy of your invoice.  Your information is kept confidential with US! 

What happens when I receive my products and do not particularly like the scent?

All our candles are scented to the maximum capability the Soy Wax can be safetly and effectively utilized. Our Soy Candles contain high quality uncut fragrances in our products. Uncut meaning that the scent we buy is pure and not diluted and we inturn do not dilute the scent either. We do not over scent our candles by adding more than the recommended guidelines for Soy Wax to ensure a safe burn.  I recommend that before you order a large quantity of our products, you order sample votives or tealights  or our famous 8 ounce Mason Pudgy jar of each scent that interests you. This way you will know for sure if the scent is what you expect and are not out a large amount of money. This way when you are ready to order your quantity, you will know which scent to order.     Please note: All candles will fade or discolor when exposed to direct sunlight, fluorescent lighting or other strong illuminations for extended periods of time because we do not add any UV Inhibitors.

My passion for my products stems from my personal sensitivity to environment. I love scented candles burning in my home as my candles make our home feel inviting and welcome to all of my friends and family.

We ship orders within 2 days of your order from our store in New Hamburg, Ontario, Canada, via Courier or Canada Post (prices are very comparable).  Please remember that couriers CAN NOT SHIP TO A P.O BOX NUMBER but Canada Post can.

PLEASE ENSURE YOUR ADDRESS WILL ALLOW FOR COURIER DELIVERY.

Any damage must be reported to us within 48 hours of receiving your package. In the event the outer shipping carton has been damaged you should report it to the carrier and file a claim with the courier company. The carrier company will then reimburse us so that we can offer you a replacement.  Please note that during the summer months, in extreme temperatures, candles may become slightly softer than normal.  These type of deviation is not considered damage, but environmental factors.  We have shipped in July and have not experienced any type of claims. However, we must bring them to your attention.

If you are planning topay by personal check, please remember your cheque must be received 5 to 10 days prior to your order being shipped our or picked up.  This is to ensure we have satisfied the bank's processing time of 5 to 10 days, as this is how long it take for the banks to clear a cheque.
