Body Safe Candles:

All of our my fragrances are body-safe, which means that you can actually dip your fingers into the melted wax and rub it on the dry areas of your skin, like a lotion!

The pure soy wax leaves your skin feeling soft and scented as your candle. It rubs in great and smells amazing! Soy wax burns at a lower temperature so the wax doesn’t get very hot, unlike paraffin wax candles. Becareful of the candle containers, they may get hot as they burn towards the end! Have fun with your soy candles, but be careful not to burn yourself as your dipping!

100% Cotton Wick:

Prior to introducing a new candle, we research prospective wicks, ensuring the diameter and burn pool which the new wick is rated for. Each of our wicks has been tested to ensure a successful burn in each of our Soy Candles.

We hand measure and cut each wick for our Candles. We also secure each set of wicks in our jars to prevent them from moving while burning your Soul~Mates Soy Candle! This has been very successful for our candle. Some of our jars have double wicks to ensure a beautiful burn each time.

Our perfected 5 step Candle producing process:

Soul~Mates Candle Company has perfected the art of handcrafting Soy candles.  The secret to our great candles, is the working temperature of our wax and the scent we use in our Pure Soy Candles. We use only 100% Eco Soya wax in our products which compliments the Soy scent and fragrances made especially for Soy wax. We do not add any other waxes or additives to our candles! Our wax is heated to a precise temperature, and then cooled slightly. Once the wax has cooled to the desired temperature, the special Soy based fragrance is then added. Our wax is then stirred for a specific amount of time, enabling our wax and scent to bind naturally, without the addition of chemicals or additives. Our candles are then poured at a precise temperature by hand. This allows us to pour a perfect candle throughout. Our finishing touch is to allow our Pure Soy Candles to cure for a minimum of 5 days!!

Many other candle companies add chemicals to enhance the scent throw of their candle! At Soul~Mates Candles, we do not add any chemicals or other waxes to enhance the burn quality or scent throw. The below example is our 8 ounce Mason Pudgy Jar. It burns beautifully throughout as it liquefies.

Soul Mates Candles does not use essential oils in our candles. Essential oils do not blend or last very well in Soy wax without the addition of a chemical additive called Vybar.  We test our Soy Based scents to ensure they meet our standards for scent and burn quality.

When you purchase a Soy candle, over time you will notice a natural occurance called "bloom" may appear on your Soy candle.  Bloom happens in Soy candle products that have no chemicals or additives to keep them pretty. Our candles, unless they are freshly made, will experience the "bloom" characteristic. This does not mean the candle is old or defective. It mearly means the candle is natural and made of 100% Pure Soy wax only!
